Dr. Vivian Loseth
Executive Director, Youth Guidance

Vivian Loseth is the chief executive officer of Youth Guidance, an agency that works with Chicago Public Schools to provide programs for at-risk youth. She is an advocate for community schools and has won multiple awards for her activism on behalf of children’s educational rights, including the Golden Apple Award for Supporting Family Involvement in Education and Social Worker of the Year for both Chicago and the State of Illinois. Loseth is a consultant in the areas of school change and social supports for students. She received her bachelor’s degree from Knoxville College in Tennessee, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago and a post-graduate certificate in family systems and organizational planning from Northwestern University’s Family Institute. She is the National Faculty and Implementation Coordinator at the Yale University Child Study Center.
